Now Accepting Nominations for 2005 Financial Executive of the Year

MONTVALE, NJ -- In recognition of the exceptional achievements of professionals in the finance and accounting fields, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is now accepting nominations for its 2005 Financial Executive of the Year Award (FEYA) Program, sponsored by Robert Half International Inc. (RHI).  This is the third year that IMA and RHI have joined to honor exceptional financial leaders.  Nominations will be accepted today through September 1, 2005.

Awards will be presented in December to outstanding professionals in each of IMA’s participating U.S. regions.  In addition, one nominee will receive the distinction as the national Financial Executive of the Year.

“IMA is pleased to have the opportunity to once again recognize outstanding financial leaders through our Financial Executive of the Year Award Program,” said Paul Sharman, president and chief executive officer of IMA.  “Since IMA founded the FEYA Program in 1997, we have remained committed to honoring those who bring leadership, pride and credibility to the accounting and finance professions every day, and have recognized over 150 accounting and finance professionals to date.”

Paul Gentzkow, president and chief operating officer of staffing services for RHI, said, “The Financial Executive of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have displayed a commitment to improving their companies, the accounting profession and their local business communities.  We are pleased to join the IMA in acknowledging the integrity, leadership and hard work of accounting and finance professionals across the United States.”

All regional winners will receive a two-year IMA membership, and the national winner will receive a three-year IMA membership and a $2,500 scholarship donated to the school of his or her choice.  This recipient also will be featured in Strategic Finance, IMA’s award-winning magazine.

Both IMA members and non-members are eligible for the award, and any person interested can submit a nomination.  A nomination form and additional information can be found at www.rhi.com/feya.  Only online nominations will be accepted.
